This piece has “glaze crawling” which means a portion of the bare clay is exposed (inside rim near rainbow) and is not sealed by the glaze. Although my clay has been fired to a hot enough temperature to vitrify the clay (rendering it non-porous), I have not conducted testing on each individual piece, and this item is best used as a decorative item.
